Riddle me this: should toilets be attached to a wall or should they sit on the ground?
This toilet. The one right there in the picture – it doesn’t touch the ground. No pedestal. No foundation. No material taking up the space between the bottom of the bowl and the tile beneath it.
Who thought this was a good idea?
Maybe I’ve seen too many movies. Maybe I’d rather not experience the sludge (and that’s putting it nicely) that resides in bathroom lines. Maybe I’m just afraid of landing in a lake of toilet contents when it busts.
There is just something about a toilet that isn’t reinforced by having something under it. I’m sure there are pipes and other things that keep it in place, but … Did I mention it actually makes noise when it’s sat upon?
Excuse me while I find a different bathroom…
